FORT WORTH, Texas – Feb. 26, 2025 – Celebrating 85 years in 2025, Renfro Foods, makers of nearly 30 varieties of Mrs. Renfro’s salsa and condiments, today announced the launch of a new salsa made with dill pickles. 

Mrs. Renfro's Spicy Pickle Salsa, considered a medium-hot heat level, is made in partnership with fellow Fort Worth-based company Best Maid Pickles, founded in 1926. This new salsa is packaged in 16-ounce glass jars, is gluten free and does not contain high fructose corn syrup or added sugar. 

“Our company has never been afraid to try new flavor combinations – whether sweet or spicy,” said Doug Renfro, president of Renfro Foods. “It’s particularly special to have approached our friends at Best Maid Pickles, another beloved Texas brand, to collaborate on such a new and different product for us both. We like to think that our grandparents and great-grandparents, who founded the brands and knew each other, are smiling at what we have created.” 

Mrs. Renfro’s Spicy Pickle Salsa is available now via the Mrs. Renfro’s website and also at the Best Maid Pickle Emporium on Vickery Boulevard in Fort Worth. Other local and nationwide retailers may be added in future months.
